In IELTS speaking part 1, the examiner will ask you some general questions about your hometown. This is not a difficult topic, but in order to respond appropriately, you need to have a relevant vocabulary and the capacity to construct natural ideas. Here we have given some sample answers regarding your hometown for your better preparation.

= Actually, my city is the largest province in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. It has become a promising destination for many investors due to the rising population and economy.

= It is a small province, with a population of perhaps over a million inhabitants.

Is that a small town or a large town?

= It is a large town. It has a reputation as a vacation destination, with many people traveling to explore the city's restaurants, cafes, and historical places.

= It is one of the largest cities in Vietnam and the capital of the country. With its diverse culture, it offers different things for everyone. Hanoi is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Vietnam because it is a beautiful place. Hanoi offers everything from rich culture and history to delicious food and great entertainment experiences.

Is that a large metropolis or a rural area?

= My place of birth is a big city in India. As far as I know, it has a population of approximately 5 million people. So metropolitan areas are always overcrowded. It is also the largest city in the country in terms of land area.

= Yes, it's a big city, and you can get from one side to the other in about two hours.

= It is a large, highly developed city and has great living facilities because it is the state capital.

= It is a small place. There are several kinds of transportation available for comfortable travel.

Is that a large or small city?

= It's not a too small or too big city. In fact, it is large enough to provide all the necessary facilities to the population of the city, but it is not as large as Brooklyn or Melbourne.

= I reside in a large city. Viewing the city from a tall structure seems like it never ends. It is so big that it takes several hours to get from one part of the city to another.

= It is actually a small province. It features stunning mountainous and seaside scenery. However, my hometown has seen a significant number of investments because of the expanding economy, particularly in the industrial sector which makes it an attractive location.
